Using the Compound Cell Conversion Utility

  1. Open a OpenBuildings Station Designer design session using a DGN file in a workspace dataset containing compound cell libraries.
  2. Select (Compound Cell Converter) from the backstage.

    The Compound Cell Converter dialog opens.

  3. Click Add Files for selecting a file through Open dialog, or click Add Folder to select through Browse for Folder dialog the folder containing BXC files.

    Navigate to the folder containing BXC files, select the BXC files to be converted, and click Open for a file, or Open in case of folder.

    The files get listed in the Files being Modified list box.

    The Process / Process and Close buttons enable when at least one BXC cell is loaded.
  4. Select one or more files in the list and click Process.

    The processing displays the progress bars that indicate cell libraries and models that are being processed. When processed, each BXC file is converted into a functional cell, attributing for each compound cell and its components, display values for Name, Description, Level, Family and Part, etc.

  5. (Optional) Click Process and Close to process the conversion and close the dialog.
